Ok, so for the past couple of days I have been compiling a list of British and American vintage websites. The list on my computer is much longer, but after looking through them all (153 websites to be exact!!!!) I discovered that a lot of them didn't exist any more or the quality and quantity of their clothes was so poor I didn't even bother with them.
For each one I have picked 5 of my favourite items, and now I think I might have to go on a massive shopping spree to buy them all!
So here's the crème de la crème of U.K and U.S vintage websites. If you know of any others that are good, please feel free to put them in the comments section, as I'm always eager to find out new ones. Especially any British ones, because good (reasonably priced) ones seem few and far between.

Apologies for being absent for so long, but I have been very busy because I turned 21 yesterday!!!
I had a magnificent day, mostly because my boyfriend and I went to The Ritz for afternoon tea!!!!!!!! My mum surprised me in the morning with it, she even paid for us to have a glass of champagne with it! Plus she had arranged for a driver to pick us up from my house and drive us there! It was the most beautiful place I have ever seen in my entire life! We weren't allowed to take any photographs inside, but I found a picture on their website of The Palm Court where we ate. It's even taken from the end we were sitting at:



Even the powder room was amazing. It was all pink marble! We ate little sandwiches, scones with clotted cream and strawberry jam, and little cakes. Everything was delicious! There was a pianist playing the entire time we ate, and then he started playing happy birthday and they brought me out a little cake!!


THEN when we came home I opened my presents. I already knew that my mum's present was going to be a holiday to New York for my boyfriend and me (not going until 1st June) but my boyfriend then surprised me with an extra week in Florida afterwards!!!!!! I still can't believe it! Hands down the best birthday ever!

Ballyhoo Vintage is one of my favourite vintage websites. It doesn't have a massive variety like some others but I always love almost everything they have in stock; and even though some items can be pricey, they are always beautiful and are usually from an earlier period. I've just found a cool vintage shop on eBay called Trendsetter Vintage. The prices are reasonable (starting at $19.99 = about £13) and they have some pretty dresses like these:

Let's talk SHOES. Oh my, Sonia Rykiel, how I love thee! These shoes are sheer perfection.

Dear Ms. Rykiel,
As you may or may not know, my 21st birthday is fast approaching and I would be entirely grateful if you would kindly send me a pair of your super cute suede and patent heeled pumps, you know, the gorgeous orange ones with the bow and patent toe cap (although the navy version would not go amiss).
I know, I knowww you have been busy with your très chic parisian spring 2009 collection - which I loved btw - and thanks for taking 30% of the original price, but don't you think it would be better if they were a little more... free?
Anyway, enough of this banter, I look forward to teetering around London in these babies soon.

I am in serious need of some sunshine at the moment! I really miss the summer!! I miss going on bike rides, having picnics, being at the beach, road trips, BBQ's, long warm days...
