I have been watching Gok Wan's new show and thought I would do a couple of outfit posts on the last episodes catwalk face-off. Two of the looks they sent down the runway were nautical and floral. Both really good trends that come around every summer, and both really easy to wear. I have made an outfit that is almost identical the one that was on the show, then I did my own version. Enjoy!

Nautical - Gok's version:

Skirt – New Look
Vest – TopShop
Blazer – My Theresa
Shoes – Giuseppe Zanotti
Bag – Oasis
Earrings – Aerie
Scarf – Forzieri

Nautical - My version:

Clutch – Simply Soles
Brooches – Monsoon
Earrings – Mod Cloth
Headband – Dorothy Perkins

Florals - Brix's version:

Dress – Luella
Bag – Dior
Shoes – Christian Louboutin
Hat – Accessorize

Florals - My version:

I have always been a lover of hats, but have never been able to indulge in this affection because my head does not seem to agree with the hats I put on it! They always end up looking awkwardly perched and just not quite right. I do, however, still like to look at all the beautiful vintage millinery that is out there - purely for the wonderful craftsmanship, if nothing else.

I have just won this skirt on eBay:

I don’t know if you can tell but it has a floral pattern; which I think would be perfect for the print trend for spring/summer 08 (see post from the 10th).
