There’s going to be lots of colour this summer, and I bought a lovely bright pink dress from Beyond Retro today for my summer wardrobe. I need to make it a bit shorter, but it’s quite thin even though it has sleeves so it will be nice and light for the hotter months.
Ideas for wearing colours:
1) Match clothes, shoes, bags and hosiery etc
2) Layer up the same shade but in different textures
I did some shopping (again) today and bought the perfect pair of shoes, from TopShop. I have to get them heeled and soled because the heel is plastic and the sole is smooth; for some reason TopShop always make their shoes with rubbish cheap plastic heels which wear down so quickly. I guess it’s just another way to make more money! Anyway, I really love them so I got them. They also have them in red patent.
Plus I got a dress by Reko that I spied whilst I was in TopShop, well actually I spied many dresses by Reko that I loved but I settled on this one as they are £50 each! Eeek! I guess it’s going to have to be packed lunches for the rest of the month.
Yay! I won this dress on eBay today. It’s a bit long as it is so I will make it shorter, but I had to have it because I love the floral pattern. I am in a very summery mood today because the sun is really bright and I’m planning a holiday. I want to go on a picnic.
I want a dress with lots of ruffles! Many were seen on the Spring/Summer 08 runways, and some carried over to the Autumn/Winter 08-09 shows a la Benjamin Cho. I tried desperately to find the green ruffle dress in H&M but sadly to no avail.
I love Betsey Johnson’s collections; they are always fun and kitsch. This one was no exception. Seeing also makes me even happier about my faux fur coat charity shop find, although I can’t quite see myself wearing it with PVC hot pants.
For about a week know I have been moaning about the fact that this months Elle magazine hasn’t been delivered, until this morning when I discovered it amongst the ridiculously large pile of magazines on my bedroom floor. It has officially turned into an epidemic.
Oops!
I wore my (relatively) new grey ribbed tights today, and they are very warm. I have decided that I need them in as many colours as possible!
